Media release - NFS confirms new order for Cavotec MoorMaster

Cavotec MSL Holdings Limited (CCC) is pleased to announce it has secured another order for the supply of eight MoorMaster® 400 automated mooring units from Denmark-based Nordic Ferry Services A/S, the ferry line that recently placed an order for the first MoorMaster® system ever in Scandinavia. The MoorMaster® units will be installed in 4 ferry terminals at Kalundborg, Kolby Kaas, Boejden and Fynshav, servicing 2 newly built ferries on high frequency passenger routes in Danish inland waters. Delivery and installation of the units is scheduled for 2009.

“This order illustrates that our automated mooring system technology is increasingly accepted by our customers as the preferred mooring system, making their operations both safer and more efficient,” commented Cavotec MSL’s CEO, Ottonel Popesco. “We are pleased that Nordic Ferry Services continues to adopt this technology, and we look forward to building further on our relationship with them in the future.”

Cavotec MSL is a globally operating engineering group active in the maritime, airports, mining and general industry sectors. Around the world, MoorMaster® automated mooring systems have already been adopted by APMT (Port of Salalah) in Oman, Searoad Shipping Australia, Toll in New Zealand and the St. Lawrence Seaway in Canada.
